Just an idea This almost seems to be more of a DHCP\DNS issue where DNS becomes confused by 2 entries in DHCP, one for the wireless and the other for the wired connections. Windows should connect to the first saved wireless network in range with the saved password after undocking but doesn't or if going from wireless back to docked it also may not reconnect and then the user cannot access internal or external resources. If you know the password to access the Wifi network, go in to manage wireless networks and tell windows to forget that network then reconnect to it. Techy info: Lenovo X220 laptop, Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 AGN wireless adapter We can't have everyone using the wireless over their ethernet as there isn't enough space and when they undock, they get kicked out of alot of their apps since they are virtual (remote pc or cloud based). ![]() I've been browsing forms for possible solutions in addition to my own troubleshooting and I've tried changing the battery scheme to max power for the wireless, telling Windows not to disable it to save power, set the permissions on C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\WwanSvc to everyone but nothing has worked. It's just the reverse that Windows doesn't either seem capable of doing or WANTING to do. The annoying thing is that when you DOCK the laptop, it defaults to it's ethernet connection and disconnects the wireless (which I don't have a problem with).
